Every engagement ring and custom piece starts with a conversation and is made by hand in Sydney. I source natural gemstones one at a time, and each piece is made from start to finish around your stone. No production line, and no two alike.

About me

I'm Edward. I trained in jewellery manufacturing and design in Sydney, then spent years in sales and design with high-end Australian jewellers, working on engagement rings and precious pieces. What I loved most was the stones, and the moment a design finally clicks for someone.

I started Edward Brown Jewellery to do that work properly: one client at a time. Because I work online rather than from a showroom, your budget goes into the gold, the gemstone and the craftsmanship, not the overheads.

Made the traditional way

Unless you ask otherwise, every engagement ring is handmade the traditional way, using old goldsmithing techniques passed down through generations of jewellers. The gold is worked by hand and each setting is built at the bench, not cast from a computer file. It takes longer, but it's how a ring is made to last a lifetime and beyond.

How it works

1. Get in touch. Fill in the short enquiry form or email me. Tell me what you have in mind, your budget and any date you're working towards.

2. We talk it through. We meet in person or over video, whichever suits. I'll talk you through stones, metals and shapes so you can see what's possible.

3. Design and stone. I source a natural gemstone to suit your brief and your budget, and we settle the design together before making begins.

4. Made by hand, delivered to you. Your piece is handmade and delivered free and fully insured, anywhere in the world. Your first resize is on me.

Good to know

• Engagement rings in 18ct gold start from around $3,500.
• Allow at least four weeks. If your date is sooner, ask and I'll do my best to fit you in.
• Happy to work with your own gold or stones, such as resetting a family piece.
• Made in 18ct yellow gold, 18ct white gold or platinum.
• Free insured express delivery worldwide.
